Cheltenham National Hunt Festival
Stansted Taxi Services are laying on a daily run from Stansted Airport to the Cheltenham National Hunt Festival
They plan to run a Mercedes Vito daily from Stansted Airport to Cheltenham and return after racing each evening. Leaving Stansted Airport at 8.00am and arriving at Cheltenham between 12.00 and 12.30pm leaving plenty of time to stop for refreshments enroute and arriving well before the first race at 2.00pm. The return transport will be leaving 1 hour after the last race.
The price per seat is 45 pounds or 60 euros with a 5 pounds supplement for Heathrow collections. This is for a return trip but there will be an extra charge for refreshments enroute, if they are required.
Entrance tickets range from 35 - 45 pounds depending on which day and can be booked online prior to your travel or purchased on the day at the track. Our advice is to secure your purchase before you travel to save time at the race track.

I think the words 'cheap parking' can no longer be used at Stansted Airport, even the 15 minute 'Pick Up' parking zone costs £1 for the first 15 minutes and then 'Sky Rockets. So how does the pricing system work at Stansted Airport and how can you find 'less expensive' parking.
The cheapest parking at Stansted Airport is the 'long stay' or 'Pink Elephant' car park. At £8.30 a day this is the 'cheapest' parking at Stansted Airport. The 'mid stay' jumps up to £14.20 a day so is further from 'Cheap Parking' but the 'short stay' leaps to £23.00 a day. New Service Lets You Text for a Cab From the Bar
A new Williamsburg-based service lets you request a 'Cab' going from the Billyburg, Greenpoint, Bushwick, Boerum Hill, or Fort Greene areas simply by texting your coordinates to the number 767222 (SMSCab).
We can think of a few situations in which this would be useful — say, the bar is loud, or you’re slurring your speech too much to be understood, or you don’t want to hurt your date’s feelings by actually speaking the words, “I’d like two separate cars, please” — but in general we just like the idea of not having to deal with spazzed-out dispatchers, radio static, and busy signals. But how does this brilliant theory work in execution?
At 6:51 p.m. we requested a cab going from Greenpoint to Nolita. The first two texts were automatic responses. The third, which came about five minutes later, was none too assuring: “So sorry but we’re SWAMPED.” (The fleet consists of 30 cars.) But then about two minutes later, we received a text offering a $15 ride in ten minutes — pretty much the same price and time quoted by the cab service we would otherwise have used, Northside.
Our verdict: Worth a shot next time you’re heading from Hotel Delmano to the motel to the Holiday Inn…

What is Meet and Greet ?
Meet and Greet is a service for those who are travelling in a hurry, or don't want to wait around for the shuttle bus.
A representative from the company will meet you at the airport when you arrive, take your car and park it in our secure parking site.
On your return we will meet you either outside the terminal building, or where we have pre arranged and you can simply drive your vehicle away.
Meet and Greet is an extremely efficient and useful service if you are in a hurry and do not want to wait around for shuttle buses, or carry your luggage from the airport car park to the terminal.
When using this service it is essential that you are carrying a mobile phone, so that the we are able to contact you to arrange pick up/drop off times.
